Who honestly sits in the waiting room of a shop and tells a fellow customer “I know where you can get it cheaper”?

That’s like being in line at Five Guys, and telling someone that “McDonalds has cheaper burgers”.

NO SHIT. Both will fill up your stomach but which one is going to taste better and not end in the Hershey Squirts?

And why are you even here? Why are you trying to undermine the place working on YOUR CAR TOO? If YOU know its cheaper elsewhere, then go there. Don’t clog up our waiting room with your cheap skate bullshit.

By the way, the place you told them to go? Yeah, they don’t have it either and it’s not any cheaper. SUCKS TO SUCK.

That is a total dick move. When my family was in the retail business, it would happen in our stores from time to time. Luckily, we as owners, could tell those people to get the hell out.

It takes a lot of restraint to keep you cool in certain situations, but once you’ve got it down it becomes second nature. Though, there are times when it’s really satisfying to lose it too.

Having had a contracting business I know where you’re coming from. It costs more to do the right thing . Being certified, insured etc. doesn’t cut it with some people that think they are better off rolling the dice and paying less. Even worse people can be such sheep than in lieu of doing any real investing on their own they’ll listen to anyone who is willing to tell them anything that will rationalize their own poor decision.

I did that when I caught a dealership massively lying to me and refused to give me my car back even though I had paid for their “work” They refused to get a manager as it was a weekend so I made my self a huge nuisance until I got my car back. Basically they told me I needed a new engine as the car had failed smog... I had smoged it the day before I took it in to get the radiator fixed. 100% clear on my smog test, massive fail on theirs.... All I needed was a new radiator which was installed at another shop.
